Course Summary

This two-day, in-person training provides a practical, beginning-to-end understanding of the SBA 7(a) loan lifecycle—from eligibility and underwriting through closing, servicing, and liquidation. The course emphasizes current SBA SOP requirements, sound credit practices, and documentation standards designed to protect the SBA guaranty.

Day 1: Tuesday, October 13, 2026 (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Day 2: Wednesday, October 14, 2026 (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Location: Wisconsin Bankers Association, 4721 S. Biltmore Lane, Madison, WI

Format: Two-day in-person course (10 hours)

Meals: Onsite lunch provided each day by WBD from 12pm-1pm

Meet the Expert Presenters

Becky S Becky Schneider has 29 years experience working with the SBA 7(a) loan program. She began her career in 1997 with WBD, specializing in 7(a) packaging services and also serving as a 504 credit analyst. In 2001, Becky transitioned to Associated Bank, a leading SBA Express and Preferred Lender, where she was a founding member of the bank’s centralized government guaranteed lending team. Becky then rejoined WBD in 2015 in her current role as Lender Services Manager, providing 7(a) packaging and consulting services for our lender clients. Becky enjoys helping lenders with determining SBA eligibility and loan structure, preparing 7(a) and Express loan packages in compliance with SBA requirements, and creating tools and systems to maximize efficiency of processes and procedures.
Jill Faber Jill Faber started her career as a personal banker in 2004 with Wells Fargo Bank. In 2007 she made the switch to commercial banking and was employed with Hometown Bank (since acquired by Bank First), an SBA Express and PLP Lender, as a Credit Analyst for 16 years. She has extensive knowledge of the 7(a) SBA loan programs including origination (underwriting & packaging), servicing and liquidation. Jill has been a Lender Services Manager with WBD since September 2023 and has enjoyed being able to continue assisting lenders with their SBA needs.
