Mill Haven Foods, LLC

January 2014 | New Lisbon, WI

Mill Haven Foods was established in 2010 and specializes in the basic research and manufacture of dry dairy food ingredients by offering custom blending and packaging solutions to the food and beverage industry worldwide. Since 2011 Brian Slater has been the sole owner, running all aspects of the business. Brian has over 10 years of experience in the food industry. Thanks to his knowledge Mill Haven Foods is able to efficiently meet the broad needs of the dairy product marketplace.

In July 2013, Brian knew he needed to expand his business. Having successfully worked with WBD on two prior SBA 504 loans for the construction of their facility and the purchase of equipment, Brian, with financing through Farmers & Merchants Bank, secured a third 504 loan to expand the business’ warehouse space. This expansion more than doubled Mill Haven’s building and allowed Brian to create 6 new jobs in the New Lisbon area.

Mill Haven Foods has also used the SBA’s 7(a), Express and CAP Line programs to fund the start-up and on-going growth of the business.
