WBD, Inc. is a mission-driven nonprofit lender that helps small businesses access financing through the SBA 504 Loan Program. We are seeking an analytical and relationship-focused Servicing Analyst to join our team.
This role is ideal for an individual with experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, financial statement analysis, or portfolio management who enjoys evaluating financial performance, identifying emerging risks, and helping businesses succeed. The Servicing Analyst plays a key role in monitoring loan portfolio performance, assessing repayment ability, documenting servicing actions for SBA compliance and approval.
What You'll Do
As a Servicing Analyst, you will assist in managing and monitoring a portfolio of SBA 504 loans while supporting servicing activities throughout the life of the loan.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze business and personal financial statements, tax returns, and related financial information to assess repayment ability, identify trends, and evaluate credit risk.
- Review borrower requests and prepare servicing actions in compliance with SBA regulations and internal policies.
- Monitor loan payment activity, financial reporting requirements, collateral position, and other portfolio indicators to identify developing concerns and potential credit issues.
- Communicate with borrowers, lending partners, and internal staff to gather information, resolve servicing matters, and recommend appropriate next steps.
- Conduct annual risk reviews and ongoing portfolio analysis to identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities for proactive portfolio management.
- Produce recurring portfolio and management reports requiring a high degree of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with borrowers, lending professionals, SBA personnel, and other business partners.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is:
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Skilled in interpreting business and personal financial statements, tax returns, and other financial information to assess performance, repayment capacity, and risk.
- Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Exceptionally detail-oriented with the ability to communicate financial analysis and recommendations clearly, accurately, and professionally
- Relationship-focused and able to work effectively with borrowers, lenders, SBA representatives, and internal partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, loan servicing, portfolio management, commercial underwriting, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and business performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of SBA lending is helpful but not required
