Middleton Baby and Child Care opened their first facility in 2007 by utilizing the SBA 504 loan program. As a nationally accredited child care facility, they offer care from infants (6 weeks old) through 4K and have an after school program. Middleton Baby is more than just daycare. They seek to educate children and do so using a curriculum guided by the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards which ensures coverage of all aspects of early childhood development. All children, from infants through preschool, participate in developmentally appropriate learning activities.
But that isn't the only thing that sets Middleton Baby apart from its competitors. Spanish is also taught to all age groups thanks to several native speakers on staff and one dedicated Spanish teacher who works with every age group. The 4K program is taught in both Spanish and English throughout the school year.
In February of 2014, owner Anne Strasma, saw an opportunity to expand to a second facility by utilizing the same program that helped start Middleton Baby and Child Care. With help from another SBA 504 loan financed through Wisconsin Bank & Trust, Anne was able to open a second, larger facility which included a gymnasium, larger classrooms and a more efficient layout for drop off and pick up of children. The addition also allowed Anne to add 11.5 new staff to the Middleton Baby and Child Care staff.
