I am a born and raised Wisconsin kid, and have lived in south east Wisconsin my whole life, with the exception of my 4 college years in Ripon, WI (Fox Valley area). Growing up, I played a lot of sports, baseball, basketball, football and golf, and dragged my parents all over Wisconsin, and later even across the country, playing basketball. I guess it paid off a little bit, because I was fortunate enough to continue my basketball and golf playing careers in college at Ripon College. While I continued to play both sports after college, my basketball playing days may be over with my recent Achilles Tendon rupture! Golf seems much safer, so I think I’ll stick to that.
I started with WBD as an intern during the summer between my Junior and Senior years at Ripon College. In fact, my connection to WBD is an interesting one. Former WBD CEO, Joe Wolfe, was actually an adjunct professor at Ripon during my year there, and happened to be teaching the Corporate Finance Class that I registered for my junior year. I must have gotten decent enough grades in the class, because when I asked if there were any interning possibilities at “Professor” Wolfe’s company, he graciously created a spot for me. The rest, as they say, is history. Upon graduation the next year in 2002, WBD hired me on as a credit analyst, and I have been with WBD ever since.
During my time with WBD, life has changed quite a bit. From a bachelor, living with buddies on the east side of Milwaukee in 2002, to a married (wife Becky) father of three (Avery, Reese and Mason) with a house and a dog (Libby).
I enjoy the work we do at WBD, helping small business owners realize their dreams of owning and growing their own small businesses.
