I have lived in Wisconsin my entire life, growing up in Verona attending undergrad in Eau Claire and after a stint in the Milwaukee area I’m now living back in the Madison area and we recently built a house in Waunkee, WI. I’m a huge Wisconsin sports fan particularly UW Basketball and the Green Bay Packers.
Growing up, I was a big downhill skier and raced competitively in high school and college. I don’t get out on the slopes as much as I used to but still enjoy the occasional trip out west with family and friends.
My career at WBD started in Madison during the summer of 2007. This was my first full-time job out of college, and I was hired as a Project Analyst. The position helped me gain a practical perspective and apply the time value of money principals learned in college to the real world. While I liked underwriting I also enjoyed getting out and meeting with lenders and small business owners so from 2011 – 2017 I worked out of WBD’s Waukesha Office as a Loan Officer. That was quite a transition period as I met my now wife, added a black lab named Scout to the family, attended and graduated from Marquette’s MBA Program, got married and had two kids. An opportunity presented itself to move back to Madison in late 2017 to work as a Vice President Loan Officer in the Madison Market. It’s great to be home, especially having babysitters on call (grandparents) for the little ones!
The best part of my job is the relationships I have developed with local lenders, along with getting to help passionate small business owners purchase real estate and equipment. While free time is hard to come by these days, I do enjoy weekend getaways to the North Woods, and during the summer, getting out on the links, even though my golf game could still use quite a bit of work!
