With only five athletes, Jay and Jennie Beyer began practices at Air Force Gymnastics Academy in September 2006. Since its inception, the business has grown and now coaches approximately 205 gymnasts, consisting of 140 recreational participants and 65 competing team members. Classes are offered to children ranging in age from 18 months to 18 years of age allowing for a child to start at any age. Air Force Gymnastics also has a proven record of competitive coaching success with over 40 state champions in the last 3 years, Boys state and regional champions in 2010, Girls state runner up in 2009 and Girls state champions in 2011.
In 2009, Jay and Jennie set out to expand their original 7,500 square foot facility to 10,000 square feet to accommodate for the growth of their business. Air Force Gymnastics continued to experience growth within the past couple of years and recognized the need to move to an even larger facility. With the help of an SBA 504 loan provided by WBD and financing from Baylake Bank, they were able to make the move into a 15,000 square foot facility. The move has improved visibility to the public and has increased the capacity and efficiency of the business, supporting economic development in the Village of Howard, WI.
