Catalytic Combustion Corp was founded in 1950 to manufacture air pollution control systems. For the past 20 years the company has been owned and operated by Mark Ruff who has over 27 years of technical and business operations experience working for a number of Fortune 500 companies. Catalytic Combustion provides products which use their patented technology to reduce the output of volatile organic compounds which are harmful to the environment and its inhabitants. Serving the food service, consumer appliances, non-automotive engines, power generation, gas compression, production painting and printing, pharmaceutical, chemical and a wide variety of other areas, Catalytic Combustion Corp is committed to making the future a little more green with each of the products they provide.
In June of 2014, Mark saw an opportunity to expand the largest of his three facilities in Bloomer, WI, which was originally built with bank/504 financing. With the help of a second SBA 504 loan provided by WBD and financing from Bank Mutual, Mark was able to add 45,000 sq feet to the 30,000 sq ft facility. The expansion allowed Catalytic Combustion to replace a 16,000 sq ft leased facility and bring back work they had outsourced to China. It also added 25 new positions to Catalytic Combustion, which is a major employer in a rural community.
