For over 20 years Wisconsin Business Development Finance Corporation (WBD) has been helping busineses across the state access various government-related loan programs. |
- Program Eligibility and Credit Criteria
- Processing Loan Applications
Borrowers can also receive assistance from WBD staff, either directly or on a "referral" basis for the lender. These services include:
- Intake Evaluation - at no cost to the lender or the borrower. After an initial review of information about the business its owners and the proposed project, WBD staff will address the viability of th eproject and identify available financing options. When a proposal does not seem viable as presented, WBD staff will provide recommendations on how to strengthen the financing request, along with a list of regional technical assistance resources that may be able to provide assistance.
- Loan Analysis Services - When a project seems viable but has issues that require additional research, the applicant has the option to enter into a $500 Loan Analysis Services Agreement to cover the cost of WBD staff investigating the specific eligibility and credit concerns. If the project then proves to be viable, this payment can be applied toward loan packaging services.
- Loan Packaging Services - Under a Loan Packaging Agreement, WBD staff are available to assist lenders in packaging loan applications. WBD will be responsible for compiling all necessary documentation, completing the Lender's analysis and other required forms, and assembling the application for lender review and signatures. When the lender submits the appliction, WBD staff will be available to assist in answering questions from program staff.
